Senior VMC Setup & Production Machinist

We’re an established small job shop in Uniontown, PA building custom and short-run parts across multiple industries. We need a senior-level VMC professional who can set up, run, and troubleshoot Haas mills with minimal handholding after learning our flow. This is not an entry-level operator position.

• End-to-end setups on Haas VF-4 and VF-11 vertical mills.
• Reading and applying blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM data to plan work.
• Offsets, tool selection, in-process inspection, and basic program edits (G-code).
• Diagnosing and solving issues related to tooling, quality, and machine performance.
• Small production runs and custom parts for varied applications.
• Job prioritization in coordination with customer demands and shop needs.
• Housekeeping: maintaining a clean, safe, organized cell.

• 5 years CNC machining, with proven mill setup expertise.
• Haas VMC experience strongly preferred.
• Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills; GD&T fluent.
• Comfortable with G-code, offsets, and troubleshooting at the control.
• Independent after onboarding to our customers and workflow.

• CAD/CAM or programming experience (Autodesk Fusion 360 a plus).
• Job shop background.
• Lead, supervisory, or mentoring experience.

• Pay: $32–$37/hr, negotiable based on experience.
• Schedule: First shift, Monday–Friday, 6:30/7:00am–3:30pm.
• Overtime: Typically 2–10 hours most weeks.
