Skilled Laborer Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled laborer to join our team at a well-established shop in Concord. This position involves a combination of responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of our industrial facility.

Responsibilities:

• Perform various skilled labor tasks according to project plans and specifications.
• Operate and maintain a range of tools and equipment necessary for daily tasks.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
• Assist in the setup and cleanup of work areas.
• Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete projects.
• Complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes.
• Travel throughout the US to assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment.

Additional Duties:

• Help maintain equipment and customer parts in the fabrication shop.
• Assist in loading and unloading shipments, involving heavy lifting (minimum 50lbs).
• Carry out light/heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.
• Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Ability to follow instructions and contribute to a productive environment.

Skills Desired:

• Mechanical knowledge is essential; electrical knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to operate carpentry equipment such as Chop Saw, Panel Saw, Drill press, Router, etc.
• Forklift/Gantry Crane operation is a plus; training will be provided as needed.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment like Sandblaster, Pressure washer, Transfer pumps, etc.; training provided as needed.
• Physical capability for walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting repetitively.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in skilled labor or construction is preferred.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of basic construction techniques and materials.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Requirements:

• HS Diploma and/or GED required.
• Current Driver's License required.
• Ability to pass a background check if required.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position
• First Shift, daytime Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am-4:30 pm.
• Overtime possible during busy periods.

Compensation:

• $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
