MachinableWax.com is seeking an individual to mold, shape, and machine our industrial waxes to customer specifications. This is a temporary-to-possibly-permanent position covering a staff member's extended medical leave (estimated 6–12 months), with potential to extend or become permanent based on business needs and performance. Compensation will be based on the skills and experience of the applicant. This is a hands-on position requiring attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

````Duties```

• Shaping large wax blocks to specified dimensions using hand tools and measuring devices.
• Operating our wax injection machine (training available).
• Operating a manual lathe to turn wax cylinders to precise diameters for dental lab blanks (training available).
• Reading and interpreting orders and prints for specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Measuring with precision and accuracy (rulers, calipers, micrometers).
• Cutting and finishing parts on a chop saw.
• Ensuring work is completed according to customer requests in a timely manner.
• Packaging and palletizing orders.
• Operating a forklift and pallet stacker for shipping and receiving materials (training/certification available).

Skills
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:

• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Familiarity with reading rulers, calipers, and micrometers.
• Experience using a variety of power tools safely and effectively.
• Comfort learning to operate machine tools (lathe, planer, jointer, wax injection equipment, etc.) — prior machining experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to consistently arrive on time and work efficiently and precisely.
