Summary

Machado Construction Co. Inc., is a family owned and operated business located in Halethorpe, MD. We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team. 2 years of related experience is required.

Duties

· Laying out forms and installing concrete work for agricultural, industrial, and/or commercial job sites.

· Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and/or patch voids.

· Finishing of poured concrete, such as walkways, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools.

· Loading and unloading of materials.

· Maintains orderliness and cleanliness at job site.

· Maintenance of all equipment and tools.

· Follow all company procedures and safety policies.

· Follow all supervisor’s instructions closely and perform job duties as told.

· Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Must have a valid driver's license.

· Ability to understand and follow written and/or oral instructions.

· Ability to follow all safety procedures and policies.

· Have a solid understanding of all facets of concrete construction.

· Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time, including walking, standing, climbing ladders, squatting, etc.

· Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. and 50 lbs. overhead.

· Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather.

· Ability to work in areas with the potential for high noise levels.

· Flexible attitude engaged in team goals.

· Ability to work days, nights, and weekends if needed.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and

• 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary

· $15-$18 hourly based on experience.
