Qualifications:The Senior Lease Analyst plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing leasing and land management processes for exploration, drilling and production activities. Their responsibilities involve managing and maintaining accurate analysis of oil and gas agreements and contracts related to land rights, leasing and ownership. They ensure that all lease agreements, contracts, and legal obligations are in compliance and contractual obligations are met. This role is technical and requires a strong knowledge of land laws, regulatory compliance and operational needs in the oil and gas industry for various states.
Responsibilities
• Overseeing the management of oil and gas leases, contracts, and agreements, ensuring they are accurately tracked and properly executed. This includes reviewing and analyzing terms to ensure the company's rights are protected and obligations are met.
• Maintain changes in mineral, royalty and working interest ownership at various depths
• Assist with acquisitions and/or divestitures
• Prepare various exhibits for legal documents
• Tracking important dates related to lease renewal, expiration, and financial obligations such as royalty payments or surface rentals. Ensuring that these obligations are fulfilled on time to avoid penalties or disputes.
Qualifications
• 5 years of recent industry experience as a land technician or in land administration
• Experience with integrated land computer systems, Quorum a plus
• Good organizational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to interact with team members at all levels of the organization
• In-depth understanding of oil and gas lease law, title issues, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Ability to research information, with good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a changing environment
• Perform effectively under tight deadlines
• Balance multiple priorities effectively
• Experience in Anadarko, Permian and San Juan basins
• Experience with Indian and Federal lands
