Assistant Manager Job Summary
Mach-1 Express Wash is not your typical car wash. We are a family run business that truly cares for our team members and customers. Our goal is to put customer service first and clean cars second. We are actively seeking assistant managers for our rapidly growing company that strive to put others first and do “Everything It Takes” to be the best in the business. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and leadership skills. He or she must also possess a strong desire to use their past experience to increase their skills and responsibilities and to motivate and coach their team members on a daily basis.
Assistant Manager Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure each customer receives the highest quality customer service and every customer leaves satisfied and wanting to return
- Manage all staff when the GM is not present
- Assist the GM with the training of new team members and coaching existing team members
- Address any customers concerns or complaints when the GM is not present
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Assist the GM with daily operational duties including deposits, checklist completion, HR paperwork, etc.
- Ensure the appearance of the wash is up to company standards and is visually appealing everyday
- Assist with preventive maintenance as assigned by the GM
- Ensure that all team members are adhering to the company policies
- Hold team members accountable and give positive feedback in regards to their actions and performance
- Grow the customer volume, driving sales and profitability for the wash
- Encourage the sale of unlimited wash packages
Assistant Manager Required Skills
- 18 years of age
- Punctual, responsible, accountable
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Cash handling
- Ability to work and stand for long hours in all weather conditions
- Have flexible work hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Previous leadership experience a plus
- A desire to learn mechanical and electrical maintenance
