MacFawn Fire & Flood Restoration is building a Disaster Response Team to assist during large fire, water, storm, mold, and other property damage events throughout the Capital Region.
This flexible, on-call position is ideal for individuals looking to earn supplemental income while making a meaningful impact during emergencies. Hours vary based on emergency response needs.
No previous restoration experience? No problem. We provide paid training for motivated individuals with a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency fire, water, mold, and storm losses
- Perform water extraction and mitigation
- Assist with demolition, debris removal, and job site cleanup
- Move furniture and customer belongings
- Set up drying equipment and containment systems
- Assist with board-up and emergency stabilization services
- Operate hand tools and restoration equipment
- Complete job documentation using Google Workspace and industry-specific software applications
- Follow company safety procedures while working as part of a team
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform physical work
- Dependable and able to respond to emergency work opportunities when available
- Construction, restoration, warehouse, moving, landscaping, or general labor experience is helpful but not required
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
