Duties
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters to ensure proper circuit functionality.
- Follow strict electrical safety procedures and safety protocol adherence at all times during construction activities.
- Aid in low voltage wiring projects, schematic interpretation, and troubleshooting electrical issues on-site.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to construction site safety standards and assisting with safety protocol enforcement.
Experience
- Prior experience or exposure to industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, conduit bending, and electrical wiring techniques is advantageous.
- Familiarity with reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading is a plus.
- Construction site experience or related construction experience will help you succeed in this role.
- Understanding of low voltage systems, high voltage safety considerations, and electrical safety procedures is beneficial.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while working under supervision demonstrates strong potential for growth in this apprenticeship.
