Description:Job SummaryMacedonia Development Corporation, NFP (MDC) is seeking a dedicated and collaborative change agent to serve as Executive Director (ED), responsible for strengthening the organization through effective management of people and resources. The ED will oversee all MDC activities with a primary focus on fiscal management; additionally campaign development, fundraising, and leadership development. This role will serve as the Senior Program Administrator for the East Saint Louis Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) Workforce Network Program also known as the East Saint Louis (ESTL) Workforce Hub and will lead the recruitment and training of community stakeholders, participate in network training opportunities, and cultivate strategic partnerships. Along with specialized technical job training within the clean energy field, the program provides job readiness support, from resume building and interview preparation to writing assistance, and access to certification testing to strengthen qualifications. The ESTL Workforce Hub will also offer wrap-around services and support in order to help participants overcome barriers to successful completion. By partnering with a network of hiring businesses, we connect individuals to genuine job opportunities, offering trusted referrals to a supportive employment ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational (Day-to-day)Manages the day-to-day operations of the organizationLead existing and develop, implement, and manage fiscal processes for all programs, ensuring strong financial oversight, grant compliance, and strategic use of resourcesParticipates in developing policies and procedures to carry out the vision and mission of Macedonia Development CorporationDevelops and implements policies approved, directed, or developed by the Board of DirectorsManages grants and ensures contract complianceServes as Senior Program Administrator for the ESTL Workforce HubComplete additional tasks and projects as needed to support the programs overall goals and achieve the organization's missionStrategic Responsibilities:Assures the continued development and growth of the organizationIdentifies and pursues grants and revenue sources to support the networkCreates and implements annual short-and long-range plansRecruits, hires, and oversees staffLeads initiatives related to green workforce development, curriculum greening, community outreach, and campus activitiesSets a progress agenda for network operations and activities in collaboration with organizational and community partnershipsWorks with a lobbyist to secure state funding and develop legislationOversees and coordinates operations of the statewide networkRequirements:Educational and Experience:Preferred Master’s degree in a Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or Environmental Studies or Energy Management or related fieldRequired: Experience in fiscal administration, event planning, proposal and grant writing, team leadership, and facilitating meetings with diverse stakeholdersDesired: Experience working with diverse populations (faith traditions, immigrants, varying abilities, or returning citizens), community or labor organizing, and knowledge of racial and social systemic barriersSkills & Competencies:Budget management, proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), social media, database use, and bilingual in English and Spanish preferredStrong communication, analytical, and team collaboration skillsDriven, community-focused leader skilled in relationship-building, leadership development, and organizing issue-based campaigns in clean technology, economic development, senior housing, entrepreneurship, workforce development, education, and healthcare.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/INFORMATIONThis is a full time position.Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learnPlease note that this position includes paid time off (PTO) but does not currently include a comprehensive benefits package, such as medical insurance or retirement plans.Reports to: Board of Directors
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
