Responsibilities
- Assist with installing, wiring, and maintaining electrical systems on construction sites, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues.
- Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical components and systems to identify potential issues or hazards.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols.
- Participate in renovation projects by removing old wiring and installing new electrical infrastructure.
- Support the use of schematics and technical drawings for precise installation work.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic understanding of hand tools and electrical concepts (helpful but not required)
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various conditions (heat, outdoors, ladders, attics)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to work safely and follow job site safety rules
- Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in an electrical apprenticeship program (preferred)
