Macdonald & Company is pleased to partner with a leading institutional real estate investment and development firm to appoint an Associate or Director to its Industrial & Logistics investment team based in Phoenix, Arizona.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of the industry's most respected real estate platforms, investing across high quality industrial and logistics assets in one of the fastest growing markets in the United States. Working alongside an experienced senior leadership team, the successful candidate will play a key role in sourcing, underwriting, executing, and managing acquisitions and development projects across the Phoenix metropolitan area, with the opportunity to expand into additional Southwest markets over time.
This position offers broad exposure across the full investment lifecycle, combining acquisitions, development, asset management, leasing, and capital reporting within a highly collaborative institutional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate acquisition and development opportunities across the industrial and logistics sector, including existing assets and land for future development.
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to underwrite acquisitions, developments, leasing scenarios, and investment returns.
- Prepare investment memoranda, development budgets, market analyses, and presentations for internal investment committees and capital partners.
- Assist with sourcing opportunities through brokers, developers, landowners, and industry relationships, with a particular focus on off market transactions.
- Coordinate due diligence activities by working alongside consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal functional teams.
- Support the execution of industrial development projects, participating in design reviews, construction meetings, budgeting, and project delivery.
- Partner closely with Asset Management and Leasing teams to optimize portfolio performance, leasing strategy, and operational execution.
- Monitor project performance through financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, variance analysis, and investor reporting.
- Build relationships with municipalities, consultants, brokerage firms, and other external stakeholders throughout the entitlement, development, and acquisition process.
