What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Relations Account Executive position at Maccabee Public Relations?
Maccabee PR, the Minneapolis-based agency and five-time winner of “100 Best Places to Work,” is seeking a PR Account Executive with 2–4 years’ experience across media relations, social/influencer, and content creation.
Why this role?
You’ll be a core member of integrated accounts—turning smart marketing strategy into media coverage, content, and community. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders and clients in CPG, lifestyle, healthcare, hospitality and more.
What you’ll do
· Lead day-to-day media relations: research, build/source lists, pitch, secure and track coverage across print, digital, broadcast and podcasts
· Support/own social & influencer programs: vet partners, coordinate seeding and collabs, draft briefs, manage timelines and deliverables
· Create audience-first content: media materials, bylines, blog posts, newsletters and social copy
· Run projects with precision: status docs, timelines, recaps, and clear next steps
· Contribute to strategy: surface insights, trends and creative ideas; help build client decks and reports
· Uphold measurement: set objectives, track KPIs, and translate results into recommendations
What you bring
• 2–4 years in PR/communications (agency or in-house) with proven media results
• Strong writing and editing; comfort switching between AP-style PR materials and social-first copy
• Working knowledge of social platforms, influencer best practices, and basic industry analytics
• Solid project management, follow-through, and comfort juggling multiple projects and clients
• Collaborative, curious, resourceful—able to proactively move work forward and ask smart questions
Nice to have
• Experience in CPG, hospitality, healthcare, retail, or employee wellness categories
• Familiarity with tools like Muck Rack/Cision, Google Workspace, project trackers, and social/influencer platforms
