Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and vital signs monitoring.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations such as endoscopies, and fatty liver scanning under physician supervision.
- Administer treatments including botulinum toxin injections, dermal fillers, IV infusions, and sterile procedures like suturing and catheterization.
- Manage acute pain and airway issues, utilizing critical care experience to stabilize patients in urgent situations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and utilization review to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document all patient encounters accurately using EMR systems
- Educate patients on gastrointestinal health, medication administration, nutrition plans, and post-procedure care.
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner license with certification in family practice or internal medicine.
- Proven experience working in gastroenterology or related fields such as hepatology or digestive health clinics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems
- Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards for billing and documentation purposes.
- Critical care or hospital medicine background including ICU or Level I Trauma Center experience enhances y
