Position Summary
This position is responsible for preparing machinery and parts for painting by cleaning them and removing dirt, rust, old paint and grease using pressure washers and pneumatic, electrical or mechanical tools.
Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will include, but will not be limited to, some of the following activities:
- Operate hand tools and abrasive blast equipment to clean and smooth surfaces.
- Use of tools to remove and install panels/accessories
- Clean blast,prep and paint booths and maintain equipment.
- Apply masking and protection to sensitive parts before coating application.
- Adhere to safety/OSHA guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Work closely with team members to meet project milestones and uphold quality standards
To be considered for a position as a MacAllister CAT Service Trainee, you should have the following:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of Equipment/Automotive/Engine repair experience.
- Highly motivated and able to learn new tasks, processes, and policies.
- Must possess the maturity to manage one's own time and work with minimum supervision but also be capable of helping and working in a team-oriented environment.
- High School Diploma or Vocational College degree in some of the following areas:
- Diesel Technology
- Heavy Equipment Repair
- Welding Technology
