Outpatient Licensed Psychologist

MAC Midwest
Minnetonka, MN Full Time
POSTED ON 6/2/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 7/1/2026
The Licensed Psychologist provides high-quality outpatient psychological services with an emphasis on diagnostic assessment, neurodevelopmental evaluation, clinical formulation, and individualized recommendations for children, adolescents, and adults. This role supports clients with a wide range of mental health and neurodevelopmental needs, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, learning and executive functioning challenges, and co-occurring developmental or behavioral presentations. The psychologist works collaboratively with clients, families, caregivers, schools, medical providers, and interdisciplinary team members to support accurate diagnostic clarification, meaningful treatment planning, and practical recommendations that improve daily functioning, emotional wellness, and long-term growth.

Salary: $100,000-$115,000/year.

Reports to the: Director of Psychological Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive psychological and neurodevelopmental evaluations, including clinical interviews, behavioral observations, standardized assessment measures, collateral review, diagnostic formulation, and integrated report writing.
  • Provide diagnostic clarification for autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, anxiety, mood, trauma-related, developmental, behavioral, and co-occurring mental health concerns.
  • Develop individualized, clinically sound recommendations that support treatment planning, school collaboration, family understanding, and access to medically necessary services.
  • Provide outpatient therapy, consultation, parent/caregiver guidance, or brief intervention services as appropriate to role, scope, and client need.
  • Collaborate with internal interdisciplinary providers, including speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, behavioral health, and autism services teams, as well as external medical, school, and community providers.
  • Use trauma-informed, culturally responsive, developmentally appropriate, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches in assessment, treatment planning, and client/family communication.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation in the electronic health record, including diagnostic reports, treatment plans, progress notes, and related documentation.
  • Participate in team meetings, case consultation, program development, and ongoing efforts to strengthen MAC’s outpatient mental health and neurodevelopmental services.

Clinical Expectations: 25-30 billable assessment hours per 40-hour week; testing notes due within 48 hours of completion.

This role is a strong fit for a psychologist who enjoys thoughtful diagnostic work and is interested in deepening their expertise in autism and neurodevelopmental assessment.

We recognize that ASD assessment can feel highly specialized, especially for clinicians who have not yet had extensive experience with tools such as the ADOS-2, ADI-R, Vineland-3, cognitive testing, and broader developmental assessment batteries. Prior ASD assessment experience is valued, but it is not the only pathway into this work.

We are looking for strong clinical thinkers who are curious, developmentally informed, collaborative, and motivated to grow within a well-supported specialty area. Training, consultation, and team-based support are built into the role. Clinicians will also have opportunities for formal training or refresher training in autism assessment measures, including ADOS-2 and ADI-R training through the University of Minnesota, as appropriate to their experience and role needs.

Our goal is to help clinicians build confidence and competence in high-quality neurodevelopmental evaluation while being supported by an experienced clinical team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience completing psychological evaluations for autism, ADHD, developmental differences, emotional/behavioral concerns, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience administering and interpreting standardized psychological, developmental, behavioral, adaptive, cognitive, and autism-specific assessment measures.
  • Strong clinical writing skills, including the ability to produce integrated, family-accessible, and professionally polished diagnostic reports.
