Mac Metal Sales, Inc is seeking a seasoned, highly motivated Territory Sales Manager to aggressively grow sales of metal siding, metal roofing, trusses, trims, accessories, and building-package materials. This role is ideal for a true hunter who thrives on prospecting, building relationships, and closing new business with builders, contractors, ag-building companies, dealers, and developers. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for territory development, customer acquisition, account management, forecasting, and achieving assigned sales targets.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan, focused on generating new business and expanding market share.
- Target and acquire new customers including:
* Ag/pole-barn builders
* General contractors (residential/commercial)
* Roofing & siding contractors
* Truss buyers
* Building-materials dealers and distributors
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through cold calling, networking, in-person visits, and referrals.
- Conduct regular onsite customer visits, jobsite walk-throughs and product presentations.
- Deliver Mac Metal’s value proposition with confidence: quality materials, fast lead times, competitive pricing, and expert support.
- Provide samples, pricing quotes, and technical assistance as needed.
- Build long-term relationships with customers at all levels—from owners and purchasing managers to field supers.
- Maintain regular check-ins with active accounts; support reorders and upselling.
- Become the “go-to rep” for all metal siding, metal roofing, and truss needs in the region.
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and customer service to ensure smooth order flow, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide voice-of-customer feedback to help improve products, packaging, and service.
- 3–5 years of successful outside sales experience, ideally in:
* Metal roofing/siding
* Trusses/lumber
* Construction supply or manufacturing
- Proven hunter mentality with consistent track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
- Ability to travel regularly within the territory.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Preferred
- Knowledge of post-frame/agricultural building construction, pole barns, or barndominiums.
- Existing relationships with builders, contractors, or distributors within territory.
