Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that production leads and their teams have the necessary materials, labor, and resources to complete the daily production schedule efficiently, accurately, and with exceptional quality. This role focuses on proactive issue prevention, maintaining production flow from weldments to finished products, and coordinating closely with Planning, Engineering, and other departments to resolve issues and support production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and drive accountability for urgent production priorities and projects.
- Ensure production leads clearly understand daily production expectations and priorities
- Verify that teams have the necessary labor, materials, tools, and hardware to complete daily production goals efficiently.
- Monitor production flow from weldments to finished products to maintain operational efficiency.
- Identify potential issues early and implement preventative actions to minimize disruptions.
- Expedite and coordinate rush materials, hardware, tools, or other production resources as needed.
- Conduct regular production floor audits to monitor progress and document deviations.
- Initiate and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) when required.
- Work closely with Planning and Engineering to resolve production issues and update system data when process changes occur.
- Ensure daily work orders are properly clocked in and recorded; address discrepancies with production leads.
- Communicate production status, customer requirements, sales priorities, and schedule changes with cross-functional teams.
- Conduct escalation reviews and annual performance evaluations for assigned leads.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including workplace organization, safety programs, training efforts, and process improvements.

Education and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience working with production planning systems and engineering change processes is beneficial.
