POSITION SUMMARY:
The Plant Manager is responsible for driving schedule attainment and continuous and significant improvements in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct all manufacturing activities to ensure efficient production processes.
- Drive continuous improvement culture.
- Lead regular KPI reviews for the manufacturing team to ensure attainment of results and a sense of urgency.
- Track key manufacturing metrics and performance indicators related to production efficiency, quality and safety standards.
- Manage plant operations including safety protocols, quality control, production and compliance with regulations.
- Present plans and results, as well as strategy deployment and KPI progress.
- Ensure effective allocation of resources across all areas of production to accomplish priorities.
- Partner with Management to ensure the best possible product and customer satisfaction.
- Continually benchmark best practices and implement as appropriate.
- Lead efforts in staff development, training programs, and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing process improvements.
- Regularly converses with all production employees to promote engagement and retention at all levels.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams across multiple departments.
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment problems and implementing technical solutions.
- Ability to analyze data for decision-making related to operations management and process improvements.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience required.
- 3 years managing salaried personnel.
- 5 years' experience in a medium to heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience with metal fabrication, welding and assembly processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work under limited supervision.
- Strong computer skills.
