POSITION SUMMARY:

The Plant Manager is responsible for driving schedule attainment and continuous and significant improvements in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct all manufacturing activities to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement culture.
  • Lead regular KPI reviews for the manufacturing team to ensure attainment of results and a sense of urgency.
  • Track key manufacturing metrics and performance indicators related to production efficiency, quality and safety standards.
  • Manage plant operations including safety protocols, quality control, production and compliance with regulations.
  • Present plans and results, as well as strategy deployment and KPI progress.
  • Ensure effective allocation of resources across all areas of production to accomplish priorities.
  • Partner with Management to ensure the best possible product and customer satisfaction.
  • Continually benchmark best practices and implement as appropriate.
  • Lead efforts in staff development, training programs, and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing process improvements.
  • Regularly converses with all production employees to promote engagement and retention at all levels.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills

  • Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams across multiple departments.
  • Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment problems and implementing technical solutions.
  • Ability to analyze data for decision-making related to operations management and process improvements.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with executive leadership, staff, suppliers, and customers. This position offers an opportunity for a dynamic leader with high energy. Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience required.
  • 3 years managing salaried personnel.
  • 5 years' experience in a medium to heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with metal fabrication, welding and assembly processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work under limited supervision.
  • Strong computer skills.

Salary is negotiable.
