Service Dispatcher
The Service Dispatcher position ensures that repairs and maintenance of customer vehicles are assigned in accordance with the Service Manager/Director and dealership standards. The Service Dispatcher responsible for maximizing utilization, monitoring work in progress and assigning work to service technicians according to dealership standards.
Skills / Qualities Preferred Include:
- Must be organized and have the ability to multi-task
- Must have Automotive experience, preferrably dispatch or technician experience.
- The ability to work as a team member with 26 technicians and advisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Dispatch work to technicians and assist in various ways to ensure the workflow of the service department.
- Assign repair orders to service technicians according to both the technician’s availability and the technician’s skill level required of the repair.
- Coordinate work in progress between the shop foreman and service advisors.
- Monitor daily flag rate hour objectives and respond accordingly.
- Expedite movement of vehicles among service technicians.
- Establish and maintain good working relationship with service technicians; understand the technical skills each technician has to best allocate repair orders.
- Deliver the keys and repair order hard copies to the appropriate Service Advisor's workstation immediately after parking a vehicle in the service parking lot.
- Retrieve customer vehicle from the parking lot when their bill is paid or as advised from the Cashier.
- Communicate regularly with service advisors/technicians to confirm repair order information and diagnostic information.
- Meet customer service standards by achieving ‘above district’ customer service information “CSI” scores.
- Follow established safety protocols; report any shop equipment in improper working condition; immediately report safety incidents.
- Understand, keep informed of, and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know.
- Safeguard dealership assets and customer data.
- Complete required training assigned through the company training portal.
- Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
- Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Mac Haik Automotive group brand.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Automotive dispatch experience
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening
- Authorization to work in the USA
