At The Children’s Center for Communication/Beverly School for the Deaf (CCCBSD), we provide transformative, person-centered education for Deaf and/or disabled individuals in a language-rich, inclusive setting.
We’re seeking a strategic, relationship-driven leader with proven success in major gifts and capital campaigns to direct our Advancement program.
THE ROLE
This year-round senior leadership position reports to the Executive Director and plays a key role in CCCBSD’s growth. You’ll lead fundraising, donor engagement, and communications, working closely with the Executive Director, Board of Trustees, and a small, passionate team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead CCCBSD’s annual fundraising and communications plan
- Cultivate donors and secure major gifts, planned giving, and capital campaign support
- Oversee grants, corporate sponsorships, and foundation partnerships
- Manage donor events, annual appeals, and brand communications
- Supervise the Advancement Associate and Communications Coordinator
- Partner with the Executive Director and CFO on budgeting and reporting
- Represent CCCBSD as part of the senior leadership team
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (advanced degree or CFRE a plus)
- 8–10 years of progressive fundraising experience, including major gifts and capital campaigns
- Supervisory or team management experience
- Excellent communication skills across spoken, written, signed, and visual modalities
- Experience with donor CRMs and data-informed fundraising strategy
- Collaborative, adaptable, and mission-driven

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office-based role with occasional physical activity (e.g., event setup up to 40 lbs.) and participation in emergency drills. Based on our beautiful 7-acre Beverly, MA campus overlooking the Bass River, 18 miles north of Boston.
BACKGROUND CHECK
Employment requires successful completion of Massachusetts CORI and SAFIS fingerprinting checks.
