What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Writer - TS/SCI position at Maania Consultancy Services?
This position is responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Technical Writer area of responsibility.
What you will do:
- Prepare and deliver oral and written reports, slide presentations, policies, plans, and procedures on data management issues of concern as appropriate for executive-level audiences.
- Gather technical inputs for all written deliverables.
- Edit deliverables for content length, spelling, grammar, and audience.
- Support a team to deliver documents covering data source analysis, data models, data lifecycle strategy, and other contract deliverables including weekly activity reports and standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrate mastery of the English language, extensive vocabulary, and ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.
- Format documents in MS Word to include Tables of Contents, Page Numbering, Styles, and embedded graphics, images and tables. Must be able to apply various style guides to format deliverables.
- Develop MS PowerPoint presentations to include slide templates, graphics, animation, notes, etc. Manage document repository in MS SharePoint including permissions, storage, and retrieval.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a relative field.
- Required *ACTIVE* clearance: Top Secret (TS) with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility. CI Poly preferred.
- 5 years hands-on experience in writing and editing with at least 2 years supporting the intelligence community (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability in editing documents for clarity, audience, grammar, and punctuation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
