Your goal is to utilize all shop equipment safely and efficiently to deliver components that meet exacting standards.
Position Description – Tasks, Responsibilities, Competencies
- Interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to determine precise dimensions and tolerance requirements
- Configure and operate a variety of machine shop equipment to fabricate precision components
- Optimize machining workflows by selecting the most effective and efficient methods for each specific machine
- Select appropriate cutting tools and materials based on product specifications and hardness
- Calibrate machining parameters, including speeds, feeds, and depth of cut, to maximize tool life and finish quality
- Execute rigorous dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure 100% compliance with customer requirements
- Document production data and quality metrics accurately into the company database
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace by adhering to all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols to prevent accidents and asset damage

Work Environment
- Work in this position is in a machine shop environment. The employee may be exposed to airborne particles, metal shavings, sharp cutting tools, and moving mechanical parts. PPE and hearing protection are required at all times.
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, or bend. The employee must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus)
- Technical certification or vocational training in Machining Technology

- Minimum of 1-year hands-on experience in a profession machine shop
- Proven experience with Surface Grinding and O.D. Grinding, advanced proficiency in blueprint reading
