What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Manager position at Maadho?
Maadho is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead product development, manufacturing execution, and quality control. Candidates must have strong experience with foodservice disposables, packaging, and consumables, including plastic, paper, aluminum, and related products. This is a full-time, on-site role located in North Salem, New York.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering & Technical Evaluation
- Manage new product development projects from initial sourcing and sampling through testing, approval, production, and launch
- Assess product designs, materials, and manufacturing processes including: Injection molding, thermoforming, blow molding, paper converting
- Collaborate with suppliers on design improvements and cost optimization
- Interpret technical drawings, specs, and BOMs
Quality Control & Assurance
- Establish and enforce quality standards, SOPs, and inspection frameworks
- Coordinate pre-shipment inspections, factory audits, and testing protocols
- Analyze defect rates, returns, and supplier performance metrics
- Work closely with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer-specific requirements
Contract Manufacturing & Project Coordination
- Serve as the primary communication layer between customers, internal teams, and manufacturing partners throughout the lifecycle of each order or development project
- Translate customer requirements, specifications, timelines, and quality expectations into clear manufacturing instructions
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Quality, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure customer commitments are met
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred), Supply Chain, or Operations
- 5 years experience in: A) Sourcing/procurement and B) Manufacturing or quality control
- Direct experience with disposable/consumable product categories including Gloves, food packaging, paper/plastic goods, etc.
- Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
