MA Design is hiring an Interior Designer for our Cincinnati office. In this role, you will be responsible for working with clients, project managers, and the design team to provide interior planning and design expertise as a part of the architectural services. You will also lead interior design efforts on small to medium sized projects.

What you will do:

• Perform interior design functions that include interpreting client’s needs, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction documentation
• Manage project lifecycle and lead production team through entire architectural process, including all administrative and technical tasks and assignments.  
• Participate in the development of interior renderings, color boards and interior finish and furniture specifications.
• Work with client and design team to develop interior space plan and design and/or interior finishes that compliment the architectural design.
• Uses independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques and procedures.
• Review pricing, materials and customization for projects and provide design support to team to take design from concept through construction documents.
• Collaborate with other design and professional staff including Senior Interior Designers, Project Managers, external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
• Creates design packages to support design intent.
• Guide and mentor junior designers
• Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
• Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships
• Support business development efforts with studio and firm leadership
• Assist in keeping product library clean, current and up to date and collaborate as a design team member on new products and finishes.
• Other duties as assigned by Studio Lead and/or Studio Director

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelors degree in interior design, architecture, space planning, or related field from an accredited school
• 1-10 years of Interior Design experience
• NCIDQ Certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of project scope, construction materials/methods, and sustainable solutions
• Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF E, furniture systems and specifications, finish materials and application.
• Exhibits individual initiative and ability to work in a team environment
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Proficient in Revit
• High level of dependability and quality of work on multiple projects in varying size and scope
• Required to perform miscellaneous administrative duties associated with projects as needed or assigned
• Strong client focus with attention to detail
• Ability to conceptualize project design with critical thinking to architectural integration
• Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
• Industry relationship / business development experience preferred
• Ability to work under pressure of tight deadlines
• Positive attitude in line with MA core values
