M9 Solutions is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to work on-site in support of a government contract for a client located in Washington, DC. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Works independently to gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
- Works with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revises and edits, and recommends the best solution for data compilation, as well as centralized storage.
- Researches, creates, and maintains information architecture templates that uphold organizational and legal standards, and allow for easy migration.
- Develops content in alternative media formats for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation.
- Ensures that published documents follow the style laid out in the organization's style guide.
- Maintains the style guide and suggests revisions to the style guide.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Proven experience gathering information from subject matter experts and translating complex material into clear, accurate, and well-structured documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure consistency, clarity, and compliance with established style guides and organizational standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining quality across all deliverables.
