Company descriptionM4 Optimization LLC is a veteran-led Colorado business advisory firm that helps organizations improve how they run: streamlining operations, finding inefficiencies, and building sustainable improvements. We partner with small and medium businesses across industries to identify gaps, design data-driven solutions, and put them in place. Using structured methods (Measure, Map, Modernize, Maximize) and analytical tools, including AI, we support business leaders in making informed operational decisions. Our work is built on critical thinking, accountability and clear documentation. Our tagline is “Milspec your finance & ops. Reduce the risk.”
Role descriptionThe Independent Management Optimizer assesses client operations, gathers and analyzes information, and identifies opportunities to improve processes, workflows and operating performance. You will work with business owners and their teams through M4’s three steps: an Assessment, an Implementation, and a Continuation Plan.
As an independent contractor, you run your own schedule and your own business, and you are paid on commission for the engagements you bring in and support.
What you will do• Conduct interviews and workshops with owners, managers and staff.
• Gather and analyze documents, records and data, quantitative and qualitative, to spot trends and gaps.
• Map workflows, roles and handoffs, and evaluate operational and financial measures such as cost, time and workload.
• Prepare clear Assessment reports and presentations in plain language, with recommendations and implementation plans.
• Work with client teams to carry out improvements: define roles, write procedures, set up tracking and analytics, and connect tools, in systems the client owns.
• Monitor results with Continuation Plan clients, adjust as needed, and support change management so new practices stick.
• Keep client records and deliverables organized and consistent with M4 templates.
• Follow M4’s agreements. The Master Services Agreement, Client Service Agreement and Statement of Work prevail on any conflict.
• Represent M4 professionally with clients, chambers and referral partners.

• Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable running an independent, commission-based business.
• Ability to travel to client sites in the service area and build positive, professional client relationships.
