Basic Duties
- Structural design, analysis, calculations, 3D modeling and drafting for various industrial, institutional buildings and other structures as assigned.
- Assistance in design, field investigations, field engineering, material take-offs, surveys, and studies to complete project goals.
- Assisting in the preparation of project reports and construction documents and reviewing documents prepared by others.
- Overseeing and providing direction on the design and development of structural models and structural drawings and specifications.
- The position will also interact directly with structural steel detailers through the development of detailed models and drawings.
- A minimum of 2 years’ related engineering experience is required and an EIT.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, with an emphasis on structures.
- Experience preparing and editing construction documents.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, RISA 3D, Tekla, and MS Office.
- Candidates must be able to travel, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.
- Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detail-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.
- Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.
- A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.
