Key Responsibilities
- Will support daily electrical project management, client interface, and provide directions to electrical engineers, designers, and production staff on the production of on time and quality-controlled project specific electrical deliverables.
- Client interface.
- Electrical conceptual and detailed designs, methods and materials specifications, electrical equipment application.
- NEC compliance, building code compliance, feasibility studies, adherence to budgets and schedules, cost estimating, field survey, construction administration
- Support for procurement and construction activities.
- Position will work under the direction of senior engineers.
Required Education, Experience, Skills and Licensing
- A minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related field, with a PE.
- Experience with electrical conceptual designs, methods and materials specifications.
- Working knowledge and experience using AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software such as Inventor, and or Revit, and MS office.
- Proficiency with electrical analysis software such as SKM Power Tools or ETAP
- Previous experience with electrical power distribution, grounding, motor control, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems is preferred.
- Some travel may be required from time to time, domestically & internationally, to other M3 offices and project sites.
- Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detailed-oriented and have exceptional organizational skills.
- Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision.
- A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Experience with industrial power distribution and building systems, motor controls, control systems and grounding.
- Previous heavy industrial experience.
- Experience working on multidisciplinary design and construction projects.
