Export Coordinator (Air & Ocean)
We’re looking for an experienced Air & Ocean Export Coordinator to join our growing team in Atlanta. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, enjoys managing shipments from start to finish, and takes pride in delivering accurate, compliant, and customer-focused global export operations.
What You’ll Do
- Manage A–Z export operations for Air and Ocean shipments (quoting, booking, documentation, compliance, tracking, and billing)
- Coordinate with carriers, airlines, truckers, overseas agents, and clients
- Prepare and review export documentation including HAWB/MAWB, Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and other compliance documents
- File AES and ensure all shipments meet Export Administration Regulations (EAR) requirements
- Handle Dangerous Goods (DG/IATA) shipments as needed
- Manage key customer accounts and maintain strong communication throughout the shipment lifecycle
- Update and maintain shipment records in our TMS (ShipThis); experience with ShipThis or similar freight forwarding software is a plus
- Track shipments proactively and escalate delays, exceptions, or service issues
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of freight forwarding export experience (Air & Ocean)
- Strong understanding of A–Z export processes and compliance requirements
- Dangerous Goods certified (IATA DG) preferred
- Knowledge of global trade lanes (Asia, Europe, Middle East and LATAM) is a plus
- Experience handling government cargo, government-related shipments, or regulated government logistics is a strong plus
- Experience with live animal exports and familiarity with IATA Live Animals Regulations (LAR) is a plus
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Domestic truck brokerage experience is a strong plus (dispatching, carrier sourcing, rating, or inland transportation coordination)

Compensation
Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 annually, depending on experience.
