Position Summary
The Property Manager is responsible for the overall management and operations of a multifamily or commercial property, ensuring strong financial performance, resident satisfaction, and team leadership.
Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets
- Collect and deposit rent and other property revenue
- Manage delinquency, eviction preparation, and court appearances when necessary
- Process accounts payable and intermediate payroll
- Maintain accurate property and resident records
- Monitor occupancy and renewal goals
- Develop and execute marketing strategies
- Conduct market surveys and adjust leasing strategies as needed
- Recruit, train, and lead onsite team members
- Conduct employee evaluations
- Resolve resident concerns and disputes
- Ensure confidentiality and proper record keeping
- Inspect the property regularly and take action to protect the asset
- Perform other duties necessary to achieve ownership goals
Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Regional Manager, Director of Operations, Vice President of Property Management, or other designated corporate leadership.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) preferred
- Certified Occupancy Specialist preferred
- State-required leasing license (if applicable)
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic computer proficiency
- Yardi Voyager experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to respond to emergency situations and work weekends if needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 per year
