Position Overview
Are you a self-starting, motivated communicator who loves meeting new people and making a tangible impact? ICCA is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator to be the face of our recruitment efforts across Indiana. In this role, you will take ownership of our grassroots outreach plan, delivering weekly presentations to high schools, community groups, and workforce development partners to educate students, parents, educators and guidance counselors about rewarding careers in union construction.
This is a full-time, in-person position perfect for a driven professional with 1–3 years of experience in outreach, recruiting, or marketing who wants to execute high-impact programs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Grassroots Recruitment: Implement a strategic community outreach program by delivering weekly presentations to high schools, adult education programs, and community groups.
· Database Management: Develop, organize, and maintain a robust database of school, CTE, and adult education contacts interested in construction careers.
· Prospect Engagement: Respond promptly and professionally to all incoming inquiries from prospective apprentices and partners.
· Feedback & Innovation: Actively suggest improvements for our key messaging, marketing materials, and social media programming based on what you hear on the ground.
· Collateral & Digital Support: As you grown into the role, you would be asked to assist in updating and distributing marketing materials, including letters, event flyers, welcome packets, fact sheets, and surveys. Keep digital tools updated to support outreach efforts.
Necessary Skills & Qualifications
· 1–3 years of experience in community outreach, marketing, public relations, or as a job/college recruiter (experience within a non-profit association or the construction industry is a plus).
· Strong knowledge of marketing, customer service, and exceptional writing skills.
· Adept at making engaging presentations designed to generate active, two-way communication.
· Extremely well-organized, goal-oriented, with a very high attention to detail.
· Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with WIX and Constant Contact is highly preferred.
· Familiarity with the commercial construction industry is a plus but not required if strong marketing skills are evident.
· Travel & Transportation Requirement: Frequent in-state travel is required to attend events and meet with partners across Indiana. A valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation are strictly required.

· Admissions or College Recruiter: You are used to visiting high schools, commanding a room, and explaining the value of an education path.
· Corporate or Agency Recruiter: You know how to track leads, follow up with prospects quickly, and sell a life-changing career opportunity.
· Sales or Account Representative: You are a self-starter who is comfortable cold-calling schools, building a pipeline, and managing relationships.
· CTE/Workforce Development Program Assistant: You already understand the Indiana high school or vocational education landscape and want to step into a leadership role representing the trades.
