What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Assistant position at M2 HEALTHCARE LTD?
PTA Duties Include:
- Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist.
- Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referral to Registered Physical Therapist.
- Implements and modifies the patient’s occupational therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision
- Monitors patient responses to treatments and modifies it during treatment sessions as necessary.
- Observe residents and write progress reports.
- The Physical Therapy Assistant will be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required.
- Must have an active Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing in the state of NY.
- Long term care experience preferred
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
