Job Summary
M1 is looking for a Sheetmetal Specialist who will perform sheet metal, fiberglass, and plastic
repairs and maintenance on assigned aircraft, engines, and support equipment with minimum
supervision. Coordinate maintenance activities with senior sheetmetal personnel as required.
Performs both on and off-equipment maintenance.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Performs major aircraft structural repairs and modifications as directed by applicable technical data.
- Performs inspection, maintenance, and repair of assigned equipment in support of shop, flight line, and
- Performs structural repairs of assigned equipment, including fiberglass, plastic, and honeycomb
- Manufactures aircraft cable and tubing.
- Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records and required forms and is knowledgeable in CAMS
- Maintains hand tools IAW established procedures. Assists senior work center personnel as required.
- Must obtain all certifications required to perform the job requirements.
- May be selected to perform special certifications including Red X inspections, if no qualified volunteers,
- May be assigned to maintain TO files, bench stock, shop stock, CTKs, or hazardous waste areas.
- Operates portable fire-fighting equipment.
- Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed.
- Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
- Must promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct.
- Must be customer oriented and ensure professional coordination with Operations and other base
- Shall perform other duties assigned to include TDY and travel.
- Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required.
- Receives cross-utilization training and is qualified to perform those maintenance tasks.
- A working knowledge of aircraft structural repair procedures and of drawings, blueprints,

- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
