Head of Finance

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to take a leading role in managing and developing our finance function, supporting strategic decision-making, driving financial performance and contributing to the continued growth and success of M&Z p.l.c.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance function and finance team.
• Oversee monthly management accounts, financial reporting and financial analysis.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts and cash-flow projections.
• Monitor financial performance and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Support strategic and commercial decision-making across the business.
• Ensure robust financial controls, processes and procedures are maintained and continuously improved.
• Manage statutory, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with auditors, banks and other external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability and overall financial performance.
• Develop and strengthen the finance team, processes and systems.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the company’s financial strategy.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• An experienced, commercially minded and forward-thinking finance professional with strong leadership capabilities.
• ACCA qualification or equivalent.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a senior finance or financial management position.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership, communication and relationship-building abilities.
• A strategic and commercial mindset, combined with a hands-on approach.
• The ability to work independently while partnering effectively with senior management.
• High standards of integrity, accuracy and professionalism.
