M-Tech has an immediate need for a Project Manager with a strong background in US Navy submarine operations. As a member of our team in the program office, you will directly support the Department of Navy’s (DoN) most important programs. You will be part of a collaborative team managing the program requirements and testing to support development and integration of emerging technologies for Navy weapon systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of one of the nation’s top national security priorities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate development, tracking, coordination, and management of program requirements for Navy weapon systems

• Facilitate coordination, road mapping, and scheduling test opportunities for maturing technologies for integration into Navy weapon systems

• Provide program analysis and engineering support for the program office

• Conduct monthly programmatic and technical updates to support program office decisions and activities

• Collect and manage read-ahead material and prepare/distribute summaries of technical and programmatic status and issues for senior management

• Provide updates to senior leader briefs on technology development and transition status

• Prepare memorandums and briefs to summarize advanced capability status, risks/issues and decision items

• Coordinate classified and unclassified meetings to facilitate information exchange

Requirements

• Active security clearance (employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required clearance)

• Bachelor’s degree

• Strong background in US Navy submarine operations

• Strong background with DoD/DoN weapon systems and developmental testing

• Strong problem solving and interpersonal communication skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to travel 10%

Preferred characteristics

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or aerospace engineering

• 10 years of experience with DoN staff and/or NAVSEA

• Military service

Job Type: Full-time

Pay Range: $115,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year

FLSA Status: Exempt (salaried, not eligible for overtime)

Experience

• US Navy submarine operations

• DoD/DoN weapon systems

• DoD/DoN technology development and testing

Education

• Bachelor's (required)

• Engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, aerospace) (preferred)

Security clearance

• Active DoD secret security clearance (required)

• TS/SCI eligible (preferred)

Schedule

• Days, Monday to Friday

Work Location

• On site 4 days at Washington Navy Yard, teleworking the remainder
