A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PIPE CREW FOREMAN
- Follow project plans, specifications, and grades to ensure accurate installation
- Maintain equipmentment, complete daily reports, and problem-solve
- Keep all jobs on schedule
- Strong communication skills with crew, inspectors, and management
- Detail-Oriented
- Follow safety protocols, keeping OSHA compliant at all times
This excavation position, you are responsible for the daily coordination and production of your team and project-specific activities. Each day, you complete a variety of important tasks, including reading and interpreting blueprints, ensuring every project meets all specifications, and ensuring your team is meeting set production goals. A natural-born leader, you competently oversee the installation of underground utilities, including water, sewer, storm drain, and pressurized irrigation. Always willing to jump in and lend a hand, you occasionally operate a track hoe to aid in the installation process.
You also work with our superintendents to track expenses and maintain strict adherence to project timelines. Organized and efficient, you manage materials, ensuring that you have everything necessary to complete the project. You love being able to take charge and make an impact on your team and our company!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PIPE CREW FOREMAN
- 2-4 Years Experience as a Pipe Foreman
- 5 Experience installing underground utilities
- Ability to operate all heavy equipment
- Ability to manage materials, read plans, run GPS systems
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and any other drug test required by M&T while employed with us
