Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care across diverse medical settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent assessment skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing services. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, utilizing advanced EMR/EHR systems and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in patient advocacy, education, and treatment planning while adhering to all regulatory standards and best practices.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical histories, and physical examinations, to inform individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and injections accurately following aseptic techniques and established protocols.
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation, order entry, and medical records management.
• Provide specialized care in areas such as ICU, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or long-term care settings based on experience.
• Perform procedures including IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, phlebotomy, tube feeding management, and wound care.
• Monitor patients’ physiological responses using telemetry and ventilator management when applicable; respond promptly to acute changes or emergencies.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medication administration, discharge instructions, and health coaching strategies.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to maintain patient confidentiality and safety standards.

Requirements

• Valid nursing license (RN) with current certification; additional certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred.
• Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or trauma centers; experience with Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms; proficiency in medical documentation and ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10).
• Strong clinical skills encompassing medication administration, aseptic technique, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and diagnostic evaluation.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs.
• Knowledge of hospital medicine practices such as trauma medicine, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and occupational health protocols.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
• Additional experience in home care, outpatient clinics, or specialty areas like cardiology (catheterization), dialysis support, or esthetic laser treatments is advantageous.
