Position Summary: 

The candidate will be responsible for keeping buildings in clean and orderly conditions. Heavy duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying managers of need for repairs, etc.

Daily tasks: 

 Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Gather and empty trash. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean and polish furniture and fixtures. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. Drive vehicles required to perform cleaning work, including industrial vacuum cleaners. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.

Minimum Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Good communications skills
• Basic math and reading skills
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Reporting Relationships:

 Maintenance Supervisor

Working Conditions:

 Machine shop environment. Most of the work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and lifting.

Position Requirement: Requires full work time only. 10 hours a shift- Monday to Thursday - overtime expected depending on production needs. Regular attendance is an essential job function.
