JOB TITLE: Facilities Maintenance Technician
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
The role of a Facilities Maintenance Technician at M&R Power Equipment is responsible for the maintenance, repair and upkeep of the building & facilities at all M&R Power Equipment Group locations. There are currently two locations, Butler, PA and Hermitage, PA.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High-school diploma or equivalent
· Must hold a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle safely in all weather conditions
· Minimum of three years experience in Facilities Maintenance
· Minimum of three years experience in plumbing, electric, HVAC or carpentry
· Steel toed boots are required for this position
· Must have a professional and positive demeanor
· Must have the ability to work independently, be self-motivated and disciplined.
· Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot building systems and equipment
· Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks when the unexpected happens
· Skilled in troubleshooting & completing projects in a timely manner
· Must be able to sit and stand for long periods
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently, up to 120 lbs. occasionally
· Must be able to work from ladders, lifts and in confined spaces
· Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch and twist at will
· Must be able to see, hear and touch. Must be able to read and write fluent English.
· Must have proficiency in using a variety of electrical and electronic test equipment, meters, power tools, hand tools, machine tools, welding equipment, precision measuring tools and forklifts. The position may involve operating power tools, lifting and moving equipment, and supplies with the associated injury hazards and requirements for use of related safety equipment
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES (Includes But Is Not Limited to the Following):
· Understand and effectively use machine tools, machinery, and equipment, including their related mechanical systems.
· Performs electrical repairs such as replacement of light fixtures, electrical circuits.
· Performs construction tasks such as new construction of walls, demolition of old construction, ability to install new plumbing and electrical, with knowledge of building codes and requirements, window and door installation and repair including block and brick installation.
· Performs HVAC tasks such as the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, install replacement parts, ability to adjust and maintain units.
· Performs some heavy equipment operations, such as digging and grading with excavators, skid loaders, front loaders, and other types of heavy equipment as needed.
· Performs snow removal with ability to operate all plow vehicles efficiently and in a timely manner, diagnose and repair plows and equipment as needed.
· Performs periodic building and equipment inspections.
· Performs routine maintenance tasks including painting, staining, and finishing duties.
· Performs preventative maintenance on Buildings and equipment.
· Identify current and future maintenance requirements.
· Performs basic plumbing & electrical issues, such as fixing leaks and installing and/or repairing light fixtures
· Performs carpentry tasks, including repairing drywall, installing shelves or building basic structures
· Manages a personal toolbox that has enough tools to be productive at the technical position given
· Maintain a safe and clean work environment
· Identify and report potential issues or hazards within the properties
· Assist with larger projects, including minor remodeling or renovations, as needed
· All other duties as assigned
MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:
The following will be used to evaluate the performance of M&R’s Facilities Maintenance Technician. Management objectives may be assigned to further measure and reward top performance.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
