As a Diesel Technician at M&R, you will be responsible for using your mechanical skills to diagnose and repair equipment. Technicians follow repair orders as recorded by customer statements recorded by the Service Manager and/or Service Advisors. Technicians must work efficiently and manage their time to fall below the time allotted on the work order, while communicating with the writer on repairs where the allotted time may be out of reach or when additional repairs are needed.

Qualifications:

· Associate degree or trade school certification preferred

· Two-year history of working with power equipment, farm equipment, or industrial equipment and/or five years of automotive repair or engine repair

· Must have mechanical knowledge in engine repair, theory of hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics.

· Must be able to operate equipment and practice safe work principles

· Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

· This position involves the use of operating power tools, moving and operating various equipment, and managing shop supplies

· Supplying your own tools and steel toed boots are required for this position

Responsibilities:

· Follows detail on repair order completion, while looking for any additional repairs as needed

· Performs pre-delivery inspection on all types of equipment offered for sale by the dealership

· Responsibly and properly uses company equipment and special tools

· Maintains a safe and clean work area, following company safety guidelines

· Drives mobile service vehicle for onsite repair and maintenance, if/when required

· May participate in various forms of service education and training programs offered by the dealership or by our suppliers

· Adheres to company safety policies at all times

· Represent company in a positive and professional manner

· Work with all personnel and outside contact to satisfy clients and achieve company goals
