Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream flavors and toppings, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Prepare and serve food items efficiently, maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Operate POS systems to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and give correct change while adhering to cash handling procedures
- Upsell additional products or upgrades to increase sales and enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of the serving area, including bussing tables and sanitizing work surfaces regularly
- Follow food handling protocols and sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register operations, and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Previous experience in a café, grocery store, or food industry role is advantageous but not mandatory
