Position Overview

As a Residential Service Pro, you are the face of our company. You will work directly with homeowners across the DMV area to deliver high-quality, efficient electrical solutions — from diagnosing problems to presenting options and completing the work to code. You will also mentor an apprentice, helping to grow the next generation of skilled electricians on our team. What You Will Be Doing

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and deliver clear, effective solutions with detailed explanations of options and recommendations.
  • Identify and resolve safety hazards and code violations, ensuring all work meets applicable NEC, Maryland, and local standards.
  • Present flat-rate pricing options to customers in a clear, professional manner.
  • Repair and install electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, panels, and equipment to ensure safety, full functionality, and code compliance.
  • Measure, cut, and bend conduit for new and existing installations.
  • Acquire all necessary materials to complete approved work efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project and upon completion.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and promptly upon job completion or estimate requests.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professionalism, positive communication, and expert service.
  • Identify and present additional service opportunities to support customer safety and satisfaction.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with the office, customers, and fellow team members.
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety protocols, including the safe operation of a company vehicle.
  • Mentor and provide hands-on guidance to assigned apprentices.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Maryland State Journeyperson Electrician License (or a valid license from a state with Maryland reciprocity), with a minimum of 3 years of field experience. (Required)
  • High School Diploma or GED. (Required)
  • Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and residential codes applicable to Maryland and Montgomery County. (Required)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. (Required)
  • Strong proficiency in English — both written and verbal — to ensure effective communication with customers, team members, and the office. (Required)
  • Ability to work with hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, screwdrivers, testers) and safely operate power tools. (Required)
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, squat, bend, and climb ladders as required by the job. (Required)
  • Willingness to travel daily within the DMV service area. (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • CPR / First Aid certification.
  • Experience with Service Fusion or similar field service management software.
  • Commercial electrical service experience, or a willingness to learn and expand into commercial work alongside your residential responsibilities.

Compensation

  • Wage Range: $28.00 – $48.00 per hour (minimum to maximum), based on skills and experience.
  • Weekly pay.
  • Weekly cell phone reimbursement.

Time Off & Holidays

  • 9 paid holidays per year.
  • 56 hours of earned PTO in your first year; 80 hours after your first full year; 120 hours at year five; and 160 hours at year ten.
