Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets according to project specifications
- Tape, mud, sand, and finish drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional appearance
- Repair or replace damaged drywall sections as needed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on schedule
- Maintain a clean work area and properly store tools and materials
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sheetrocker or in drywall installation and finishing preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are a plus
