Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills with a minimum of 2 years of dump experience. clean driving record, class A or B CDL, valid medical card and the ability to navigate various routes effectively.
Duties
- Operate a dump truck to transport materials such as gravel, sand, ansphalt, and dirt to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Follow designated routes while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of materials transported, including weight tickets and delivery logs.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the truck both inside and out, performing routine maintenance as needed.
- Assist in loading and unloading materials safely at job sites.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations on-site.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving dump trucks or similar vehicles is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation in various terrains.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures, including the operation of tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, or as a delivery driver is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and site personnel.
