Plasterer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plasterer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying plaster, stucco, and other finishing materials to interior and exterior surfaces, transforming raw structures into polished, durable finishes. Your expertise will contribute to building projects ranging from renovations to new constructions, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of plaster or stucco.
• Mix and apply plaster, stucco, or other finishing materials using hand tools and power tools with precision and consistency.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications.
• Install building materials such as drywall, metal studs, or masonry components as needed for finishing work.
• Perform rebar installation, concrete finishing, and masonry work including bricklaying, stone masonry, and concrete masonry.
• Build and dismantle scaffolding safely around work areas to access elevated surfaces.
• Follow safety protocols diligently while working on construction sites to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
• Collaborate with team members including carpenters, masons, and other trades to coordinate tasks effectively.
• Assist with renovation and restoration projects by applying specialized techniques like caulking, trim carpentry, or roofing as required.
• Use hand tools such as trowels, floats, hammers, chisels, as well as power tools like drills and saws for efficient execution of tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plastering, stucco application, drywall installation, or related masonry work within a construction environment.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
• Skilled in concrete forming, finishing, rebar installation, and concrete masonry techniques.
• Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations pertinent to construction sites.
• Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret blueprint specifications for precise execution of tasks.
• Experience with tile laying, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing or restoration projects is a plus.
• Comfortable working with hand tools and power tools while maintaining safety standards at all times.
• Excellent teamwork skills along with the ability to follow detailed instructions on complex plans.
