M. O’Herron Construction was incorporated on July 27,1903 by Michael O’Herron, Joseph Kissane, and Charles Wolfe. By 1916, Joseph Kissane was the primary shareholder and the company has remained in the Kissane family. Joseph Kissane, Jr., joined the company in the 1920’s and was president of the company from 1935 to 1975.
From incorporation through the 1950’s, M. O’Herron Construction was a road builder, utility contractor, and asphalt producer. Some notable projects included the Corliss tunnel, the Mon Warf, the stone wall along Bigelow Boulevard., and construction and paving of many roads in the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County.
M'Oherron Construction, a division of Kiely Family of Companies, is looking for a Construction Supervisor who would be responsible for providing supervision for our construction teams in and around Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.

Responsibilities:
- Direct and synchronize daily activities for multi-disciplinary construction crews to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Execute site inspections to verify that all work meets standards, blueprints, and client expectations.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports for leadership.
- Serve as the dedicated point of contact for customers, providing project updates and debriefs to maintain transparency and trust.
- Coordinate between subcontractors and engineers to resolve discrepancies or site-specific challenges in real-time.
- Set up and organize equipment.
- Act as the point of contact for staff and stakeholders, providing decisive guidance and emergency resolution for critical site issues outside of standard operating hours.
- Facilitate personnel development by assisting in conflict resolution and managing disciplinary actions in alignment with company policy.
Competencies:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- 5 years of utility construction experience
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills
- Multitasking and prioritization of duties
- Knowledge of natural gas installation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint
- Strong management experience and the ability to supervise and manage others
