Non-Ferrous Warehouse Supervisor
Company Overview
M&M Recycling is a 35 year, family-owned recycling company with multiple locations and a strong reputation for stability, integrity, and disciplined operations. We are committed to modernizing our facilities, developing our people, and running safe, efficient, high-performance yards.
Our Locust Grove, GA location is a fast-paced, production-focused operation where high standards, clear expectations, strong work ethic, and continuous improvement are the norm. We are building long-term careers, not just filling roles.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Non-Ferrous Warehouse Supervisor to lead and elevate our non-ferrous division in Locust Grove. This is a hands-on operational leadership role for someone who understands non-ferrous grading, retail buying, inventory control, and production flow, and wants the authority and support to build structure, accountability, and performance.
If you are ready to take ownership of a department, tighten up processes, grow a team, and play a key role in modernizing a non-ferrous operation within a stable, family-owned company, this is a strong next step in your leadership career.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all non-ferrous warehouse operations at our Locust Grove facility, managing material from purchase and intake through processing and loading outbound trucks.
- Lead, schedule, and develop a team of approximately 5–10 employees, including forklift operators, small-scale buyers, loaders/unloaders, skilled and general laborers, and equipment operators.
- Own non-ferrous grading and purchasing decisions, maintaining strong margin discipline and enforcing consistent grading standards at the scale and in the warehouse.
- Improve warehouse organization, material flow, and processing efficiency to increase throughput, reduce bottlenecks, and minimize double-handling.
- Strengthen inventory tracking, reconciliation, documentation, and compliance to minimize shrink, reduce discrepancies, and maintain accurate, audit-ready records.
What Success Looks Like
- Within 6–12 months, the non-ferrous warehouse runs on clear, documented processes with clean organization and predictable material flow from intake to load-out.
- Grading, buying, and inventory controls are consistent and accurate, resulting in reduced shrink, fewer errors, and improved, measurable margins.
- The team understands expectations, follows established procedures, hits production and safety targets, and shows visible growth in skill, independence, and accountability.
- Documentation, compliance, and operational standards are tightened, internal audits are smoother, and the department is viewed as a well-run, high-performance operation.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of non-ferrous scrap metal operations experience, including direct, hands-on non-ferrous grading and retail buying with a focus on margin discipline.
- Working knowledge of scrap industry software and scale systems, plus practical experience with inventory controls, reconciliation, and shrink management.
- Proven experience leading teams in a production or yard environment, bringing order and structure to busy operations while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- A hands-on leader who takes ownership of problems, trains and coaches people to grade accurately, holds team members accountable with respect, and believes consistent process drives profit.
Compensation and Benefits
- $70,000–$75,000 annual salary.
- Leadership growth opportunity within a growing, multi-location, family-owned company.
- Stability and long-term career potential in a business operating for over 35 years.
- Opportunity to help shape and modernize the non-ferrous department in a fast-paced, production-focused facility.
