Human Resources & Employee Experience Manager

M&M Recycling is a fast-growing, family-run company that believes in progress, people, and creating a workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and proud of the work they do every day. We are looking for a Human Resources Manager who is equal parts organized, approachable, and driven - someone who can keep our HR operations running smoothly while championing a positive and people-first employee experience across all four Metro Atlanta locations.

In this role, you'll support both Employee Management and Employee Experience, serving as the central hub for recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training coordination, and values driven culture-building initiatives.

You'll work closely with leadership, yard managers, and department heads to ensure our workforce stays engaged, growing, and aligned with company values.

From helping to hire great people to launching recognition programs to planning small company events, you will have a direct hand in shaping the culture and future of M&M Recycling.

What You'll Do

• Lead recruitment efforts: job descriptions, postings, screenings, and onboarding
• Ensuring completion by department heads of employee trainings, compliance documentation, and performance reviews
• Ensure compliance with disciplinary processes and leave policies
• Maintain employee records, reporting systems, and audit-ready compliance files
• Build employee engagement: recognition programs, staff lunches, holiday events, customer giveaways, newsletters, and seasonal communications
• Promote culture and retention through leadership development, cross-training programs, and assistance with succession planning
• Support adherence to federal/state labor laws and scrap-industry regulations
• Handle employee relations matters with professionalism, clarity, and empathy
• Lead community and industry engagement efforts, including trade school partnerships and career fair/event participation
