Duties
- Safely load, unload, and transport furniture, boxes, and other household or office items using appropriate moving equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary.
- Assist customers with packing, wrapping, and securing belongings to prevent damage during transit.
- Operate commercial vehicles including box trucks with manual transmissions for route driving and delivery purposes.
- Load and unload items efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and proper handling techniques.
- Follow designated routes accurately as a courier or delivery driver to ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of moving trucks and equipment after each job.
- Communicate professionally with clients to address questions or concerns during the moving process.
Experience
- Prior experience in moving services or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability in heavy lifting, manual labor, or physically demanding roles.
- Experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmissions.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients throughout the move.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience preferred.
