Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily activities within the grocery department
- Receive, inspect, sort, and organize grocery products
- Stock and replenish shelves, displays, and promotional areas
- Monitor inventory levels and identify products requiring replenishment
- Check product labels, pricing, dates, and shelf organization
- Assist with inventory counts and report discrepancies
- Coordinate with suppliers, receiving staff, and store management regarding product needs
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked grocery areas
- Assist customers with product questions and direct them to appropriate sections
- Follow food safety, sanitation, storage, and workplace safety procedures
- Help identify damaged, expired, or improperly stored products
- Perform additional grocery department duties assigned by management
Requirements
- Previous grocery, retail, inventory, merchandising, or customer service experience is an asset but not required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Good attention to detail and product accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
